South Boston, VA, – September 30,2014 LIT Networks, LLC, a unique network collaboration of seven regional fiber providers announces its launch to deliver diverse, scalable and affordable high capacity transport services to smaller markets in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern U.S.
LIT Networks is comprised of seven regional fiber networks including NGN Cooperative, MBC, Citizens Telephone Cooperative, Bristol Virginia Utilities, Scott County Telephone Cooperative, Ridgelink LLC, and ERC Broadband. These members contributed dark fiber to LIT Networks and extend an Infinera DTN high capacity DWDM platform. This robust regional network extends the reach of LIT members to key peering and interconnection points in Atlanta and Northern Virginia/DC.

LIT Networks provides rapid provisioning and seamless optical transport via 33 regional points of presence and over 2,500 route miles of diverse fiber. This unique partnership of regional networks offers a high level of route diversity for enterprise customers, wireless operators, data centers and telecom carriers looking for affordable high bandwidth routes that can be provisioned in just a few days. LIT Networks provides layer 1 transport services from 10Mbps to multiple 10GBps, and LIT members can extend transport service to customers and locations within their respective footprints.
