We partner with best-in-class telecommunications vendors to optimize NGN’s network.
NGN deployed DWDM (dense wave division multiplexing) digital networking systems manufactured by Infinera for the core of its fiber optic network. Infinera’s DTN platform provides ultra-low latency optical connectivity with multi-terabit capacities.
Brocade MLX series routers are used for layer 3 and layer 2 multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) within the network. Brocade MLXe series routers have multi-chassis trunking (MCT), which provides more than 30 Tbps of dual-chassis bandwidth. Brocade routers are used throughout the NGN core, allowing for increased flexibility and scalability of the network.
Juniper MX series routers are deployed at the network edge, allowing connectivity to multiple internet providers. The MX series routers are among the most scalable routers used in routing internet traffic.
NGN currently uses Allied Telesis iMAP series equipment for the edge access gear. The iMAP series gear provides an active Ethernet technology, allowing NGN to provide a versatile plug-and-play solution to its FTTH or FTTB customers.
