NGN and Georgia Public Web Partner to Bridge the Digital Divide and Expand Broadband Availability to Underserved Areas of Georgia
Clarkesville, GA and Sandy Springs, GA – October 14, 2015 – NGN, a member-owned cooperative operating over 1,600 miles of fiber optic infrastructure in North Georgia, announces a new partnership with Georgia Public Web (GPW) to further strengthen broadband availability in underserved areas throughout Georgia. This partnership will allow each cooperative access to areas of the state where they previously had limited resources. NGN and GPW customers with multiple locations throughout the state will benefit with increased service availability.
“GPW is a great company for NGN to work with, as we have similar goals to serve communities challenged with ‘the digital divide’, to use a reference of GPW’s,” states Paul Belk, president and CEO of NGN. “The companies are great links to each other because GPW serves most of the state with the exception of NGN’s footprint. Together we create a complete solution.”
“Our partnership with NGN will help us further ‘bridge Georgia’s digital divide’ and provide high-end technology services to more Georgia communities,” states David Muschamp, president and CEO of Georgia Public Web. “This agreement is significant to both parties and will be very beneficial to Georgia businesses with locations throughout the state.”
