Yesterday NGN hosted a breakfast event at Habersham EMC to honor and show the company’s appreciation for HEMC Linemen and Right-of-Way Staff.

A biscuit breakfast was served and NGN provided each lineman with a small thank-you gift. HEMC’s Vice President of Operations, Ricky Bates, welcomed the linemen and introduced NGN’s President & CEO, Paul Belk. Belk conveyed his gratitude for the time the linemen sacrifice with family and friends, often working around the clock and in dangerous conditions: “The services you provide are vital to our community and the NGN network.  We appreciate your dependability and dedication to keeping power flowing for our community. Your service cannot be overestimated.”

In addition to the HEMC linemen, leadership and NGN staff, other guests included Georgia State Representative Terry Rogers and HEMC Board Directors Rick Wood and Jeff Ferguson. Rep. Rogers spoke to recent State Legislation proclaiming April as Georgia Lineman Appreciation Month and the importance being placed on broadband at the State level. Wood and Ferguson both expressed how thankful they were for each one of the lineman and shared a few personal experiences.
