NGN Welcomes Paul Mitchum and Darren Taylor

NGN is happy to announce the hire of two new employees:

Paul Mitchum

Paul joins the Network Operations – Outside Plant Operations department as an Outside Plant Construction Technician. He has been added to the NGN team to install fiber in NGN Connect market areas and perform maintenance on NGN fiber assets. In this role, he will be assisting with all aspects of fiber installation, testing and troubleshooting.

Before becoming a part of the NGN team, Paul worked for C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. and Georgia Earth and Pipe.  At these companies, Paul gained a great deal of field experience with grading, pipe installation and general site development.

Darren Taylor

Darren joins the Network Operations – Outside Plant Operations department as a Directional Drill Operator/Locator. He will be assisting with all facets of building fiber optic outside plant, from heavy equipment operation and directional boring to fiber splicing, cable installation and service activation.

NGN will benefit greatly from Darren’s past experience with communications infrastructure.  Before joining NGN, Darren worked as a wire technician for AT&T where he installed AT&T U-verse internet, VoIP, and television services.  Prior to that, Darren worked as a foreman for The ComTran Group for over 7 years.  In this position, he oversaw crews locating, drilling and pulling fiber.
